MFRIC
The Minnesota
Forest Resource Information Cooperative (MFRIC) is a joint venture
by the Department of Forest Resources in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences at the University of Minnesota, the Minnesota Forest Resources Council,
and the USDA Forest Service, Northeastern Area, State & Private
Forestry.

The
Minnesota Forest Resources Council (MFRC) was established in
1995 by Minnesota's Sustainable Forest Resources Act (SFRA).
The MFRC serves two roles. First, it helps develop and implement
SFRA initiatives. Additionally, the MFRC advises the governor
and federal, state and local governments on sustainable forest
resource policies and practices. |

State & Private Forestry |
The mission of the Northeastern
Area State & Private Forest is to lead and help support
sustainable forest management and use across the landscape
to provide benefits for the people of the 20 Northeastern and
Midwestern States and the District of Columbia. |

North Central Forest
Inventory and Analysis

The mission of the North
Central Forest Inventory and Analysis is to conduct a program
of research to improve the understanding of forest ecosystems
in the North Central and Northern Great Plains States through
annual inventories and analyses of the results through the
development of improved techniques and technology. |

The mission of the Department of Forest Resources
is to foster a quality and productive environment by contributing
to the management, protection, and sustainable use of our forest
and related natural resources through teaching, research, and
outreach. |
